This policy deals with the admission and enrolment of a person to a course or program of the University.

3. Policy Scope/Coverage

This policy applies to all persons seeking to be admitted to study at the University or seeking to be enrolled as a student in the University.

4. Policy Statement

The University may admit to study and enrol as students suitably qualified persons. The University may set conditions on a student’s admission and/or enrolment.

The University has approved the following policies, procedures and program rules for admission and enrolments:

Program Rules may specify the admission requirements where the program is not covered by the various policies and procedures.

Program Rules may also specify enrolment-related requirements, for example academic progression requirements, that override policies and procedures.

5. Enrolment Decisions

Subject to University policy, procedures and rules, decisions about whether to admit and/or enrol a student are to be based on the merit of the student and the availability of the resources required for the student to undertake and complete the program or course.

6. Appeals

A person affected by an original decision about admission or enrolment may appeal to an entity prescribed in the relevant policy, procedure or rule, or as set out in PPL 3.60.02 Student Grievance Resolution - Policy.
